New stuff from the ’92 CMC Camaro

TWS 2.9 Clockwise – NASA #3

This was the first weekend for the new CMC car, netted 1 pole, two 2nd, and one 3rd

Here are some clips from the '72 ITS Datsun 240Z

TWS 2.9 Counter-Clockwise – foot cam

I was playing around during a test session and thought I would shoot some video of the pedals.  Using both left foot braking and heel toe.

TWS 1.8 Clockwise - Mad Hatter Regional

A single lap highlight of the clockwise version of the 1.8 mile track.

TWS 1.8 with SCCA - New Deal Regional

This is a highlight from three session.  In qualifying I tried a new locked differential which made the car very pushy.  That was removed after the session.  For the Saturday heat race, I tried to stretch a set of tires wayyyy past where they wanted to be, and you will see the results.  End of the front straight at full throttle is ~125+mph.  I'm just glad I didn't get all the way back up to the wall.  Sunday's heat race was on good tires again, but started from the back of the field.

Motorsport Ranch with NASA - standing start

Watch for the reverse lights at the pole position, yikes!!  Luckily no damage done.  The 944 (second car in front of me at T1) is another ITS guy.  About half round the lap, I 'miss' the apex because that same 944 was door to door.

Texas World Speedway 1.8 mile

The Corvette that goes blowing by is a Super Production car.  Big power, sounds great.  This is the short course version of TWS.

Texas Motor Speedway 2.3 mile

This was when we had to run the apron in NASCAR turns 3-4.  The black car is Bob Stretch (now racing in Speed World Challange) in his ITA car.

Texas World Speedway front straight

Taken from the front stands.  If I did the entry onto the straight correctly, I just touch the rev limiter entering turn 1.  That equates to about 128mph.  Turn up the sound, pretty good for a home made exhaust....

Here are a couple of pics I snapped at a CVAR weekend, if you get the chance to check out one of their events, do it.  You will see some beautiful cars.
